We are Learning and Development Safeguarding Specialists

Allison Waddell is a founder of Outside-the-Box. Qualifying as a social worker in 1990 she has worked in a variety of settings and across different sectors. Her areas of expertise are in safeguarding and child protection; young carers; quality assurance; adult education and learning. Outside-the-Box was formed from a genuine desire to promote sustained learning and to improve safeguarding practice.

Outside the Box works with a group of likeminded professionals who have experience in teaching, training, learning and development, and safeguarding experience in early years, social work, youth work, careers, nursing, probation, with children, young people and adults. Between us we have worked in health trusts, local authorities, schools, colleges as well as voluntary, independent and private sectors.
